Meet our Co-Founders

Meet Spence

My whole life has been preparing me for NO HARM.  The journey to discover my humanity and find liberation is full of learnings that have been forged in darkness. Much of that darkness was a consequence of me trying to discover what it meant to be a real man. My search was further complicated by my identity as a Black man in America, adding another complex layer of tension to the journey.

Meet Erica

Expressions like “boys will be boys,” “that’s just how men are,” and “happy wife happy life” have always sounded like a high pitch, utterly irritating scream to me. I don’t like the sound of these expressions and the social cues that support them. For a long time, I’ve felt like there must be a better way to experience a healthy relationship where both people can be fully human in all their imperfect parts. Then, I met Spence.
